Vladimir Pchelnikov: August 2006 Report PDF Print E-mail

Peace to you dear friends. Church “Hope” and my  family are greeting you. Two Summer month have already passed, and God has been giving strength to serve Him.

I will start from the very beginning. June- the youth of our church and we helped to organize and to carry out the seminar that was made for the pastors from Estonia and Latvia and their wives.

This seminar was lead by pastor Pac from Korea. The seminar was based on the book of Revelation.

Then we started to plan and get ready for our summer camps.

Valga Camp 2006God really blessed us with everything for carrying out our camps. The camps were carried out July 10-19. We had 2 camps. There were 55 people at the first camp, 38 children and 17 adults. God really blessed this camp. Many children wanted to come to our camp, but we were not able to take all the children who wanted to come but only those who were active in attending our Sunday school. Next year if we find more finance we will be able to take more children to our camps.

Now our youth is elder, and help us to carry out the camps with much joy. We are glad to trust them our small groups.

The next camp was for 60 people. These were the youth and teenagers. There were also topics for their lessons. This camp was carried out on the bases of the book of Judges.

This year we 5 new people have joined us being baptized. All these people were those that we worked with during several years. These are young people that have grown at our church, so many prayers have been given to God for these young people. Nobody else prays for them, as their parents are not Christians. Valga Baptism 2006That is why that is church’ s responsibility. We are so glad that God gave this service to us, and God’s light is shining in our town. Sometimes there were times when we thought that we are loosing them ,and then I asked the Lord, whether we were loosing them, and all those prayers and Bible lessons did not have any power. I asked the Lord whether those people would go away form the Lord. And I also warned the youth not to lose what we had been working at. But today I am so grateful for them to the Lord. After the camps our church started repaired some of the rooms of our church. In August a choir for Kiev came to visit us. We carried out an evangelization in our town. After that we invited people to the big hall of the House of Culture of our town. We were really surprised when we saw so many people. So many people heard about the god news and about the Lord. After that we shared the invitation to our church.

Please pray for my family, I need spiritual and physical strength. I am still repairing my house, as I didn’t have time to do it during this summer.

There is also another prayer request: August 18- my wife and I are leaving to Russia to the Beslan to encourage Christian there. We know that this trip is not safe, that is why we are asking you to pray for us. We do not know what kind of road to expect but we are sure that the Lord wants us to go.

Today I am more and more grateful to the Lord that we are able to do His work. I am also grateful to you for this support in this service. It would be very hard to do this work without your financial and spiritual help.
