Alexander's Bio

Alexander was born into a Christian family in Belarus; he is a third generation Baptist. His family was greatly persecuted for their faith during his childhood. He himself was forbidden to talk openly about his faith, and suffered lowered grades, negative evaluations in school, etc. due to his faith.

As a high school student Alexander was approached by the KGB on three separate occasions, and promised quick advancement, career opportunities, and other rewards if he would be willing to serve as a KGB spy within the Baptist church. After his third refusal, they assured him that because of his unwillingness to cooperate, his life would be ruined.

Psalm 144:2

Praise the Lord, I again found time to share what I had experience in my Lord. I do agree that the days of our life pass as a sound. Already two months have passed since my last letter written to you. Those days passed a one day, and I am glad again to greet you in the name of Jesus Christ.

I will tell you in short how those days have passed.

June 9-21 I was in rehabilitation centre. I have rested wee physically and morally, and I am glad that my health has also improved. The doctors advised to repeat the same treatment in six months.

July 9-15 our youth at the age of 14 - 18, 10 people and 2 leaders, were in a camp that took place not far from Liepaja. A lot of interesting things could be told but I am going to tell you only about the most important things. There were 120 people and many of them expected Jesus as their personal savior.  Two people of our group also did the same, and of course we met a lot of new people and had wonderful fellowship. We built new relations and friendship and started to write letters to each other. Now everybody is waiting for new meetings and fellowship.

July 16- we are some people will be baptized in Stalgenem we are going to have this with the church in Elgava. There were two people from our church and ten people from the church in Elgava.

Now we are getting ready for the first wedding in our church. August 12 is the day of my daughter Lilia’ s and Linard’ s wedding which will be in our church. They are getting prepared to start new life in marriage. This is not going to be the last wedding this year we are going to have one more couple married this year. Thanks God for that. It is god when the church is filled with new married couples. May God bless the!

I almost forgot to tell you about good news. We have got a mini bus after long time of prayers. We couldn’t find anything appropriate for that sum of money.  Transport has become more expensive. We had to buy a more expensive one.  We did not want to buy a bad one. We bought a car for 6450 €, 2000 year « Ford Transit». We put 3000 dollars from our family. We are very glad and are very grateful to you.
