The main event of the previous month was the claim of our pastor to give his post to someone else on his 80's birthday.
So, after having discussed the question in the council of the brothers of our church, they voted and decided to give the post to Andrey Sisenis, this means - to me.
Later on March 11 we had the meeting of all members of our church where people had an opportunity to express their thoughts, to offer another candidate, and in the end to vote anonymously. In the end 41 of 46 memebers of our church voted for me.
For me this is a very big honor form the Lord and trust of the people of the church that I will try not to fail.
I know that I am not perfect but I also know that if God has put me in this place then He will be working through me even till the time Jesus Christ will come again, the way He talks about it in His Word.
At the begging of the next month some people will come from the Baptist Church association in order to pray and bless me, and the pastor also wants to have a nice holiday of his giving the post to his son.
Then, I can carry out all the services except the communion till the brothers from the association come and bless me.
The rest is as it was. Already for two weeks I invite the married pairs to my summer house that I had purchased for this reason. We have the fellowship on the open air and with barbeque. That really makes us closer. Now the whole church is getting prepared for celebrating the Easter celebrations: the children from AWANA, the Sunday school, the youth and the grown-ups.
The Easter Sunday is going to be my Sunday when I
will lead the service as the pastor of the church, and I want to make it
maximally enjoyable and nice for my dear church.
