Church Planter Training FAQ

Question: What is the purpose of the training?

Answer: To train “faithful men” God may be raising up to serve as church planting pastors in the Baltics.

Question: How are students qualified and what are the expectations of them?

Answer: Please refer to Church Planter Profile and Planter Trainee Expectations to understand qualifications and expectations. In addition, each student will complete a Student Enrollment Application (see specific website page) and be interviewed by the National Program Administrator.

Question: What type of training will the student receive?

Answer: The training offered is topical training, taught by a combination of national pastors and church leaders, missionaries in the Baltics, and trainers from oversees. Please refer to Training Curriculum for a detailed list.

Question: How do students enroll?

Answer: Most of our students come through the recommendation of the local church in the Baltics. If interested, please complete the Student Enrollment Application on this website and contact the National Program Administrator for an interview.

Question: Are there any costs associated with this program?

Answer: There are no financial costs for the training. But trainees are expected to “pay the price” of their training in devoting themselves to study, and taking the initial steps necessary to plant a church.

Question: How much time will be expected of students?

Answer: The classes will meet 2 times monthly for 3-4 hours, 9 months a year, for two years. In addition, there may be occasional weekend workshops or seminars. Students are expected to do work outside of class, and be involved in their local church, as well as taking initial steps toward the planting of a church.

Question: Upon completion of the training, will there be any formal certification provided to the students?

Answer: No degrees or formal certificates will be earned that will be accredited which would be widely recognized by other agencies, organizations or denominations.
