Advantages of This Strategy- Portability – Training sites can be established in any location there are potential students
- Flexibility – The sites could be tailored to needs or available students in that region
- Cost – The cost of the training is minimal, assuming meeting places can be found which will be offered at little or no charge, and facilitators, mentors, and trainers are willing to be involved at no cost other than possible mileage reimbursement. Besides the two salaried positions (a full-time national administrator and a part-time secretary), additional costs involved may include translators, materials, and mileage expenses where necc.
- Location – Rather than removing trainees from their homes, jobs, churches, sources of personal encouragement, and relational contacts, this strategy allows students to maintain their source of income, and live in the area they are most likely to have contacts for potential Bible studies and church plants.
- National Situation – This strategy does not place us in “competition” with other more formal training options already in place, but seeks to fill a gap, providing a need not already met by other institutions or denominations.
